Straw poll time. We’ve had requests from – literally, some – holiday carpers, seeking a superior level of comfort: some form of bankside accommodation, for them and / or their partners.
And that got us to thinking.
Is there, we wondered, a case for providing ‘pods’ (think: insulated wooden sheds) on the Back (big carp) Lake – combining convenient fishing from wooden decking with total protection from the elements?
Would this enhance the long stay carping experience? Or is it an indulgence too far?
Perhaps we should simply provide top-end two/three man bivvies – with or without bedchairs – allowing visiting anglers to slim-down their kit; to drop into their choice of swim, their houses already in situ.
Be good to get your views.
Meantime, whatever we decide, I can confirm that anglers will, regardless, be able to leave the kitchen sink at home; as we plan to provide a field kitchen with hot and cold running water.
Oh, and there’ll be hot showers too – so you can even dress for dinner.
(Well this is Suffolk, after all.)
