Terms & Conditions
The person making the booking, the ‘Lead Contact’, must be:
- aged 18 years or older,
- holidaying or fishing at Rum Bridge Fisheries throughout the period of the booking, OR,
- if purchasing as a ‘Gift’ or on behalf of someone else, you must ensure the name(s) of the person(s) actually coming are included in the Booking Notes.
By making your booking, you confirm that you have the authority to accept and agree to ALL RULES pertaining to fishing and staying at the venue on behalf of all members of your party.
Please ensure you supply a valid email address, as on receipt of your payment, we will confirm your booking details via email.
It is your responsibility to notify us of any errors on your booking within 48 hours of receipt. If errors for which you hold us at fault are reported after this time, we cannot be held responsible for any costs associated with their correction.
If you are booking more than 1 month in advance of your stay, you can choose to make a deposit payment of 50%* with the balance due 4 weeks before arrival. You will be sent an automatic payment reminder to let you know when the balance payment is due.
*The deposit option is not always applicable with special offers.
On arrival (or the day before if you have a late check-in) we will need to take a £100 damage deposit. The easiest way to do this is by credit or debit card, the amount is reserved, and is then released after your accommodation is inspected following check-out.
CANCELLATION
A full refund is permissible – for any reason – within 48 hours of making your booking.
Thereafter, should you choose to cancel your booking, you have a couple of options:
1) You may transfer/sell your booking to another party. You will need to notify us of the new guests contact details (full name, address, telephone number and email address) prior to the start of booking. You can only ‘sell’ the items included on your original booking, for anything else required to add on, the purchaser will need to come directly to us.
2) If you cancel your reservation with us, we will immediately reinstate the availability of your accommodation. If we are able to resell it – either in whole or in part – we will refund the relevant amount received from the resale, less an admin charge of £25.00.
If you have made your booking through a third party site, such as Pitch-Up, or AirBnB, or Booking.com – then you will need to deal with them regarding any cancellation.
Please note, if you or we are unable to fill your place in the event of a cancellation, your booking fee will be forfeit.
In the event that we are forced to cancel your booking, force majeure, you will receive a voucher to the value of your payment, enabling you to rebook at a future date to suit you.
SITE RULES
To ensure the site is a harmonious and pleasant place for all, we do have some site rules that we ask everyone to abide to:
Quiet time: We ask all guests to keep noise levels down between 10pm and 7am
Any guests that cause a disturbance or nuisance to others on the site will be asked to abate their noise, and in extreme circumstances may be asked to leave – in these circumstances there will be no refund of any lost days.
Security: The main gate is locked from approx. 7pm until 8am. Guests are provided with the padlock combination – please ensure you lock the gate after you if you have unlocked it, to enter or exit the site – every time. It is not acceptable to leave it open (if it was locked) just while you pop out. You must not share the gate code combination with anyone not staying on site – this includes food delivery services.
Gates: Please ensure all members of your group are aware of the importance to close all of the gates inside the site, at all times. This is for the security of all of the wildlife on the site.
Logs: There are many logs and tree stumps around the site, that are used for decorative purposes such as path markers, or as seats Please do not use logs or branches that are around the site on the fire pits. These are generally ‘green’ wood that has not yet been seasoned/dried and will therefore produce a lot of smoke. This is not only unpleasant for everyone that may be in the path of the smoke, but is bad for the environment. Only supplied or purchased ‘fire wood’ should be used on the fire pits.
Visitors: Guests are not permitted to invite or bring visitors to the site without permission from the site owners. Permitted visitors must check-in at the Tackle Shop, or at the Food Van on arrival, and must leave the site by 10pm. Their actions whilst on-site will be the full responsibility of the guest who invited them, including ensuring they know and adhere to the site rules.
Alcohol: Although guests are permitted to bring alcohol on-site, please be advised that you drink entirely at your own risk, and that the site owners accept no liability for any consequences resulting from alcohol consumption.
Children: Guests bringing children to the site do so at their own risk. Children should be accompanied by an adult at all times, and are not permitted to run around the lakes, unless it is in their own designated area and they are accompanied by an adult.
Pets: Pets are allowed in the pet friendly accommodation (but are not allowed on the furniture), and areas outside of the fenced lakeside area. Dogs should be kept on a lead or restraint, and are not permitted to run around freely, as other guests on site may be allergic, or even phobic.
Damages: On arrival all guests are asked to pay a damage deposit. This is for the sum of £100 and is best paid via credit or debit card. The amount is ‘pre-authorised’ which means it is not actually taken, but is held on your account as a ‘pending payment’.
When you checkout, if there has been no damage the transaction is cancelled which means it will just disappear from your pending payments list. Some banks may handle ‘pre-authorised payments’ differently. Once we release/cancel the transaction, it can take your bank up to 7 days to reflect this on your account.
If you should cause any damage to your accommodation or its furnishings, or to anything else on the site, you should report it straight away. Additional expense can often be avoided if the problem is handled promptly.
Only the relevant amount relating to treating or repairing the damage will be taken, and this will only happen after discussion/agreement with the guest.
