  • What is Glamping?

    Glamping is camping made comfy! It’s all the fun of being in nature, with cozy beds, warm showers, and no tent setup needed

  • How old do you have to be to go glamping?

    Glamping is for all ages! Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. For baby-friendly stays, contact us in advance.

  • What should I pack for Glamping?

    Most essentials (like bedding) are provided, bring weather appropriate clothing, toiletries, towels.

  • How long can we stay for?

    You can choose from the following stay options:

    • Weekend stays: Friday to Monday
    • Midweek stays: Monday to Friday
    • Full week stays: Start on either Monday or Friday

    We have a minimum stay of two nights, but if you're hoping to book a one-night stay during the low season or planning an extended two-week visit, feel free to reach out to us at info@rumbridge.co.uk we’ll do our best to accommodate you - subject to availability.

  • What types of accommodation do you have at Rum Bridge?

    We offer a range of stays to suit every style - from cosy woodland retreats and lakeside pods to premium yurts and nomadic tents. Some options are step-free, making them ideal for families and guests with accessibility needs. If you're unsure which stay is right for you, just email us at info@rumbridge.co.uk or give us a call on 01787584311 - we’re always happy to help!

  • Can we park beside our Glamping accommodation?

    No, vehicles must be parked in the nearby designated area. Wheelbarrows are available to transport luggage.

  • Can we pitch our own tents?

    Sorry, we do not allow personal tents on site.

  • What is the deposit Fee?

    We’ll need to take a £100 security deposit on arrival when staying with us , via card pre-authorisation. It’s released within 7 days if everything is left in good order⁠.

  • How do we add an extra bed for £20?

    Request during booking or contact us afterward. Each unit has a maximum guest capacity.

  • What’s the earliest we can arrive?

    Standard check-in is between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Early check-in may be available for a £20 fee, but this is subject to availability. If you’d like to request an early or late check-in, please email us at info@rumbridge.co.uk - we’ll do our best to accommodate your plans.

  • How do we add an extra bed / sofa bed to our stay?

    Add to your booking or contact us in advance by emailing us on info@rumbridge.co.uk - each unit when booking has a maximum guest capacity.

  • How do I get contact details and site location?

    The location can be found at the top of this page or in the footer of the website. Once you have made your booking you will be sent a confirmation email with further details. Contact info@rumbridge.co.uk and 01787 584311

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    If you need to cancel a booking, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing us at info@rumbridge.co.uk.

    Please note we’re unable to offer refunds for cancellations made more than 48 hours after booking.

  • Are dogs allowed on-site and in the accommodation?

    Yes, dogs are very welcome in our dog-friendly accommodation – Ed’s Pod and Queenie. There is a fee of £10 per stay, per dog.

    We kindly ask that:

    • Dogs are kept on leads in all communal areas around the site.
    • Dogs are not allowed on the furniture.
    • Owners pick up and responsibly dispose of all dog waste.

    Please note that a charge may be applied if these guidelines are not followed. Thank you for helping us keep the site clean!

  • Where are the nearest shops?

    The lovely town of Clare is just a 10-minute walk or 2-minute drive from us.

    Here’s a few local recommendations!

    • Stars & Jars – your local convenience store
    • Small Town Coffee – for a great brew and fresh bread
    • The Pear in Clare – offering eco-friendly and local produce
    • J R Humphrey & Son Butchers – a traditional local butcher with top-quality meats
    • Plus, a Co-op, post office, and a range of charming independent shops to explore!
    • Also check out the Clare Monthly Market (3rd Saturday of every month)

    It’s a great little spot to stock up, grab a bite, or enjoy a wander.

Facilities at Rum Bridge Glamping and Fishing Resort
  • What cooking facilities do you have for guests staying?

    Each unit has a firepit, shared Outdoor Barn Kitchen with hob and shared fridge. Queenie and The Armadillo / woodland retreat units - have own private kitchenettes with full step up.

  • Where are the showers?

    All units have access to nearby hot showers. Some larger accommodations feature private or ensuite bathrooms.

  • Where are toilets?

    Flushing toilets are available near all units, and we have one disabled toilet onsite. Some larger woodland retreat accommodations include private toilets.

  • Can we light campfires or hire a firepit?

    Open campfires are not allowed, but each unit has a designated firepit area where extra Rum Bridge logs can be provided for upon arrival for £5 a stack. No sourcing of own wood or coal is permitted

  • Do you supply fireguards?

    Yes, fireguards are available. Please supervise children near open flames.

  • Do you offer food on-site?

    Exciting things are coming! Soon, our much-loved Big Yellow Bus will be rolling out tasty baps, toasties, and seasonal Friday night eats – perfect for enjoying under the stars.

    And starting in 2026, you’ll be able to pre-order our Morning Breakfast Hampers, packed with fresh, locally sourced goodies to start your day right.

  • What Baby facilities do you have onsite?

    We ask families to bring own travel cotes, nappy bags and changing equipment. Ask on arrival were to dispose bags and we will advise. Highchairs are available from reception if required.

  • Do you have WIFI?

    We have WIFI available in some of the communal spots for guests.

  • Can everyone use the Games Room?

    Yes! Includes board games, borrow bookcase and communal games. Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult. Look out for workshops and activities coming soon!

  • Do you recycle rubbish?

    Please take your rubbish home if you can. If not, we’re happy to dispose of it for £5 (bags provided), which will be deducted from your deposit.

  • Do you have step free access units?

    Yes. We offer a glamping pod and bell tent with wider access and a disabled bathroom nearby.
